All plants, including those we grow for food, retain the impact of millions of wildfires in their evolutionary history encoded in their genes.

Our core product, PyGrow, is a liquid biostimulant that captures the essense of wildfire in a bottle. It economically increases the vigor and productive yield of agricultural plants, while enriching soil carbon content.

PyGrow works through epigenetic signalling at trace amounts, whispering to the plant: There's been a fire! Grow! Flower! Make more seeds! It is suprisingly effective.

As such, natural selection is a powerful ally to help farmers transition to regenerative agriculture, to ensure a more nutrient-rich, healthy, secure food supply, and to sequester large amounts of carbon at very low cost.

Carbon Recycling

In a nutshell our technology recycles carbon from the air back into our soils, where we have too little to maintain the agricultural productivity we will need in the coming decades. Plants absorb carbon dioxide from the air during photosynthesis, and transform it into carbohydrates and a variety carbon-based molecules to create their leaves, branches, stems and roots.

Every year, plants absorb and retain about 60 gigatonnes of carbon, while decomposing biomass releases about the same amount of carbon to the atmosphere as CO2. If we prevent some of that biomass from decomposing, by converting it to biochar, and use it to improve soil fertility, we're helping to address the issues of climate change and food security. Horizontal bed biochar kiln

Our innovative horizontal bed kiln offers precise control over temperature and residence time. These parameters can be regulated to produce a wide variety of thermally decomposed biomass end products with very consistent characteristics across each particle at production scale. This kiln can produce torrefied biomass, high gradepyroligneous acid, biochar of various types, and activated carbon. Read more here.
